Arketa Institute Speaks at Quinnipiac GAME Forum

Matt speaks on a sustainable investing panel at the 2026 Quinnipiac GAME Forum.

Last week, Matt spoke at the Quinnipiac GAME Forum in New York. Quinnipiac’s Global Asset Management Education (GAME) Forum is largest student-run financial conference in the world, held in New York each Spring. It brings in students from over 140 universities to discuss and debate financial best practices with world-renowned industry leaders.

Matt spoke on a panel focused on sustainable investing in a breakout session with over 60 students in attendance. After a brief introduction from each panelist, students asked questions of the panelists about the state of sustainable investing in general and global sustainability in particular.

While some of the student’s questions were about specific investments and investment practices, the discussion also turned to the limits to growth, ecological economics and what a post-growth economy might look like.

While the topics of Ecological Economics and degrowth were new to some of the students in attendance, they were eager to learn more. Many stayed after the panel to talk to Matt about the work of Arketa Institute, Ecological Economics and a post-growth economy.

We welcome the opportunity to introduce these important concepts to the next generation of financial professionals. The finance students of today will be some of the first stewards of finance in a post-growth world.

Arketa Institute hopes to participate in future GAME Forum events and encourages other universities to host similar events that expose finance students to new ideas.
