Arketa Institute presents to Swiss pension fund

In late August, Arketa Institute had the opportunity to present to the leadership of a Swiss pension fund. The audience included the board of trustees and the pension fund management.

We were invited to host a workshop on ‘Sustainable Finance in the Context of a Pension Fund’ and we aimed to provide a long-term view on viability and value creation using Ecological Economics as the basis. We introduced Ecological Economics and degrowth and included other content from our first paper, in addition to offering new perspectives on how pension funds might deliver for pensioners in this context.

The presentation was well-received, with audience members engaging in a lively discussion of the implications of these insights.

This experience also provided invaluable feedback for our project on pension funds which we hope to share by the end of the year.
