You may have heard us mention that we are advised by a group of exceptional academics that help us keep our work strong on the science and up to date with emerging discourse. Now it's official! We're pleased to introduce you to our Academic Advisory Board (AAB):
Florian Barras analyzed the ethical banking movement from the perspective of Ecological Economics for his PhD project. He is now on the Board of the Alternative Bank of Switzerland in addition to chairing our AAB.
Colleen Schneider, co-author of one of the first papers investigating the financial aspects of degrowth, Colleen continues to explore provisioning systems and eco-social transitions at Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Duncan Lindo, political economist and ex-banker with a focus on real estate, urbanization and financial geography.
Emmanuel Bamdeis, independent researcher associated with Research & Degrowth International. Recently published a paper on post-growth green macro-financial regimes with Elena Hofferberth of the Sustainable Money Research Group.
Juliane Schumacher, economic geographer and senior university lecturer investigating investments into ecosystem services and Just Transition themes.
Lisa Herzog, Professor of Political Philosophy at the University of Groningen. Lisa's work examines the philosophy of markets, the history of economic and political thought, and social justice in organizational contexts.
Victor Cannilla, a former algorithmic trader and consultant, Victor now works on the geopolitical dimensions of degrowth at the University of Lausanne as part of the EU-funded REAL post-growth research project.
